TICKING AWAY THE MOMENTS!!!

And they said “ Close your eyes! Relax! Think of a happy moment! Notice your heart chakra expanding”

Woah!!! Hold it.....They are called moments because they are momentary. I can’t use it like a bank account where I can go back to the moment and withdraw some happiness from that moment to use it on my heart chakra. You ask a man who has lived for 50 years to jot down the moments he remembers in his life. He might remember 10, maybe 20 or 30 moments. He might remember 50 hours of his life. But of how many moments would he be able to actually feel the same intensity which he had felt at that moment. I‘d be surprised if he can recollect even 5. Like Omar Khayyam said : “Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.” You move away from parents, you move away from old friends, you make new friends, you find the love of your life, then you find another love of your life, you have children, you have that stranger who you share that special bond with, you have grandchildren, you find your spiritual guru. You travel around the world. But you realize, these are all just a series of events which are all momentary in nature. All these events pretty much sum up what happiness is to most of the people if you ask them to define happiness

Everyone has the same story: I was born, I lived and I died

But its towards the end of life, people realize that they are still not happy. Yes, they are satisfied, because other people think they have done everything they were supposed to do, so they are not under pressure to prove anything. But they are not happy. Pursuit for happiness is exactly what our life is all about. I remember the dialog in the movie “pursuit of happyness” where Will Smith says: “It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that?

I am young. I am happy. I smile a lot. I love my life. I have got everything I have ever wanted in life. But I haven’t had any of those moments that swept me off my feet. Maybe, Id contradict myself in future. But for now, I don’t have any happy moments that has lingered long enough and my thought process breaks when I felt a tugging in my earrings. I turn around and I see the most gorgeous baby trying to play with my earrings. I remove my earrings and give it to her. She took it and tried to put it back in my ears. She flashed her angelic smile when she succeeded in putting the earrings back. Now that is a moment. And I felt my heart chakra expanding. And then again the voice in the background said, think of another happy moment and see how your crown chakra opens up. Ok, I have a dearth of moments, here. Can I please use the same happy moment again

What else sums this up better than the song TIME by Floyd
